SKILLS
ABOUT ME
Thomas Silverthorn - Game Designer
Hi, I’m Thomas Silverthorn, a third year Game Design & Production student studying at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas). Throughout my time in BUas, I have worked on many solo and team projects, allowing me to learn and refine my skills with the support of my lecturers and peers.
I grew up playing games and was always fascinated by how they were made. As a child, my parents helped me explore programming, and this knowledge helped me pursue computer science in secondary school where I created my first game, an educational business game.
My favourite games are spread across several genres and franchises, including Pokémon, The Sims, League of Legends, Age of Empires III, Minecraft, and many others. Outside of gaming, I enjoy cooking, baking, cycling, running, climbing, singing, acting, travelling and volunteering.
My interests help me in my game design, I often think of ideas and solutions while indulging in my hobbies. My travels and experiences as a volunteer have allowed me to be mindful of different world cultures and I always place a heavy importance on the end-user experience.
